Greensleeves
The elven archer. I love his facial expression. The highlighting on the clothes took a couple of attempts, but I got it to my satisfaction. I trimmed his bow, quiver, and tunic with metallic gold. The hair color is not quite right, not vibrant enough, and the wash with Soft Tone made it look dirtier than I wanted.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipEG1lUKrBj2u9o7LgxAu0L3nO8ebSxGYn2auyI5PH1hSZgMQcaW_P5508jhxFzcfD3vpxP9O-hDUqzen2QVptYRsLnlrOjEKomNDul__7OMtWAPK5NoHQ0SePy36ZemRCKuJVsxDuVbk/s640/48C809DA-2ACC-4EC4-9F1E-6B55BD64F5F9.jpeg)
Diva
Diva's hair, on the other hand, turned out beautifully. A very smooth yellow, and two shades up with the highlights, and two down with the shadows. Very imperceptible, but a nice touch. Another attempt at NMM on her sword. I did a diagonal sheen on the front side, which I prefer to the edge sheen on the reverse.
For her white cape and tabard, rather than dirtying it with Soft Tone or Strong Tone, I used Nuln Oil and pushed it around until the recesses were sufficiently shaded. Then I did a few highlights with progressively lighter whites to bring the edges up. To keep them from looking grainy, I touched up the lines with a brush by edge-highlighting the same color.
I feel like I really hit my stride with Diva. The orange highlights on the the red armor pop nicely, and the pink accents give her a strong feminine vibe.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw4bzmvJ3KzWMRV7EgRQvPOVwqz5GfoFzIwTnUnHxZgI66JkfraS-M7qly2dZm2FNWktOPJAlc8N07FPe-odP2emRc248BFlms45nJjfN5YViEyPOF4N_NYXkTEvHsrhJgIvDeVhv2uVY/s640/0A2B27AF-D02D-46C5-A530-07ED8F498905.jpeg)
Sheldon
A little curve-ball, something small and easy. After watching Goobertown Hobbies video on painting shells, this guy seemed like the perfect model to try it on. I contemplated giving him a glossy shell, but after trying it, decided not to. He turned out great.
